Services begin only after a signed agreement and deposit (if applicable) are received.
Payment Terms
Payment is due as specified in your Services Agreement (typically 50% upfront, 50% upon completion, or monthly for retainer clients).
Invoices are sent via email and must be paid within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments may result in project delays or suspension of services.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and outlined in individual service agreements.
Intellectual Property
Ownership
All website content, branding materials, templates, frameworks, and proprietary processes created by Mae'd LLC remain the intellectual property of Mae'd LLC unless otherwise stated in a Services Agreement.
Upon full payment, clients receive a license to use deliverables created specifically for their project (e.g., logos, brand guidelines, website content).
Clients do not receive rights to Mae'd's proprietary systems, templates, or processes unless explicitly transferred in writing.
Client Materials
Clients retain ownership of materials they provide (photos, copy, existing branding).
By providing materials, clients grant Mae'd LLC permission to use them for the scope of the agreed project.
Portfolio Use
Mae'd LLC reserves the right to feature completed client work in portfolios, case studies, and marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential information private. This includes business strategies, financials, proprietary systems, and any sensitive client data shared during the engagement.
Limitation of Liability
Mae'd LLC is not liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site or services
Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Third-party actions or failures (e.g., website hosting issues, software malfunctions)
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered.
Termination
Either party may terminate services with written notice as outlined in the Services Agreement. Upon termination:
Client is responsible for payment for work completed to date
Mae'd LLC will deliver completed work and return client materials
Incomplete deliverables remain the property of Mae'd LLC unless otherwise agreed
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of this site or services after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Illinois.
